This Midseason Showdown will take place on Saturday, May 25th at Player 1 Services in Kensington, MD in the current format of the Pokémon Video Game Series. It will cost $20 entry for all divisions. Systems must be updated to the latest version of both system software and game cartridge updates (Version number and most recent rule set). Players may be penalized, including Disqualification, if their game does not have the latest update, or if their system is not running on the latest firmware. We will play Best-of-3 for Swiss Rounds, followed by Best-of-3 matches for Single-elimination Top Cut. There will be a Bo1 PC that follows this event. Please bring your own Team Sheets (both for the TO and to provide your opponent at the beginning of each round, provided here: https://www.pokemon.com/static-assets/content-assets/cms2/pdf/play-pokemon/rules/play-pokemon-vg-team-list-2023.pdf . You can also submit your two team sheets to the TO using the email provided. There will be a 50 person player limit, registration will be available on a first-come, first-served basis upon arriving at the venue and submitting your Team Sheets to the TO. Those who register after the 50 seats are filled will be placed on a waitlist and admitted entry in the order in which they arrive at the venue. There is no guarantee that you will be granted entry into the event, that will be based on seating and determined by the TO.
